I’m a fan of spicy.

To be perfectly honest, I am a fan of spicy food. However, if feel that there has to be some sort of trade off. I’m not going to eat something hot if it has no depth of flavor. No one wants to feel their mouth burn without an exchange of taste for the experience. Hence, is why I’m glad this recipe is both spicy and tasty.

Furthermore, to elaborate, this jalapeño popper dip receives a 7 out of 10 on my heat scale. When combined with tortilla chips there’s still a distinctive kick, but the heat ratio does not overpower. It’s seriously the first to go at our parties. And, as you can see, we clearly do it big. I usually double up on the recipe to make sure everyone gets a try.

For large parties, spicy jalapeño popper dip makes the perfect appetizer.

I sometimes make it even when there’s not a party.

Because it’s that dang good. I’ve been known to binge watch This Is Us and enjoy a nice warm bowl of my jalapeño popper dip. Sure, during those moments, the tears are rolling, but if you’ve ever watched Jack and Rebecca Pearson you’ll know why. It can get ridiculous, I know. Imagine, I’m crying, crunching on my chips, and sobbing, all while having the spice from the dip intensify the whole thing.

Some may say it’s indulgent but hey, we all have our vices. Right? As a freelance writer, I live for the story, as well as for the experiences. If you’ve never felt the joy of eating a creamy spicy dish (packed with flavor) simultaneously with the sadness from This Is Us, you haven’t lived. Trust me. Try it!

Last note before the recipe…

This easy dip recipe can be made up to 24 hours in advance, you will just need to re-warm in the oven immediately before serving. Please do not freeze. It will not survive.

And that does it. If this post has done it’s job, it’s not only inspired you to make the recipe, but also to live your life to the fullest. Be blessed in your day to day and find joy in the most unlikely of places.
