5 Must-Have Things to Host a Simple Brunch
There’s nothing better than brunch. It’s a relaxed vibe that’s not too early, not too late. I’m planning to host a simple brunch in a few weeks and I couldn’t be more excited. Parenting is tough and I wanted a way to unwind with a few of my mama friends. Here’s a list of everything that is essential in my plan for throwing an epic brunch.

To host a simple brunch, I needed to begin by choosing a theme. I wanted something floral, especially since Spring had just started. Also, I thought it would be perfect to incorporate some flowers at the brunch table setting. I personally like to use delicate elements for party decor yet I still favor minimalism. A few brightly colored bouquets and a big white tablecloth always do the trick. I also paired it with matching peach napkins.
As you plan to host a simple brunch, begin by first picking a theme. Think about the reason you are hosting your get together and then elaborate from there.
The next step of hosting a brunch is to create and send the invitations. The key is to have invitations with tasteful prints and high-quality papers. I partnered with Basic Invite for all of my invitation and stationary needs.
Basic Invite offers truly custom invitations. I was able to choose from an almost unlimited color selection while designing my cards. They also have instant online previews so I was able to look over and approve my draft before ordering.
Once I selected a design, I customized the color of each element on my cards. I ordered a set of Botanical Brunch Party Invitations with the main colors of “Glass Blue” and “Bisque Pink”.
As you can see, the invites came out gorgeous. For my plan to host a simple brunch, I opted for white envelopes with floral printed inserts. I wanted a fresh, clean feel. However, there are over 40 colors of envelopes to choose from. Next time, when I reorder for other upcoming events, I’m going to take advantage of their other options. They make the best graduation cards, as well as high school graduation thank you cards.
Every good party has excellent food. (At least from my perspective.) To host a simple brunch that everyone will remember, I need to offer food choices that my guests will enjoy. I’ll be serving to both the mamas and the toddlers for this occasion; so, warm, buttery croissant rolls and fresh fruit will do well. Additionally, I’m planning to have a few extra yogurt and granola cups for the kids. I’m used to serving a large family breakfast, so transitioning for a brunch will take just have a few minor tweaks.
Brunch beverages are the most fun. Hot coffee and mimosas are my top choice. For the kids, I will prepare fresh juices and water. When hosting a brunch, there can never be enough serving cups. Remember to have plenty on hand. Large pitchers and containers make refilling glasses easy, so I plan to have a few stationed on the serving table.
Host a simple brunch and enjoy
