How to Make Quick Baking Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread
The beginning of the Fall season marks a great opportunity to share a few sweet treats with the neighbors. We’re creating some seasonal baskets stuffed with a delicious recipe for chocolate chip pumpkin bread. Follow along to see how this quick baking dessert becomes a hit for the entire neighborhood.
A shareable dessert
It’s a pleasure to bake this shareable dessert as an act of kindness. This recipe for chocolate chip pumpkin bread comes with a backstory.
To begin, we’ve been in this neighborhood for several years. I recall the day, before we had the kids, that my husband and I closed on our house. Our neighbors welcomed us with open arms. It was clear how kind they were.
Since that day, we have been through a lot together.
Our neighbors rallied around our family after our house fire. Together, we worked on home improvements. They lent tools, elbow grease, and good tidings. Our neighbors are the connection between love and extended family.
Throughout the years, this neighborhood has evolved the hearts of its people. Making this dessert not only tastes good, but it also adds sweetness to our history.
Savory flavor with touches of chocolate
This recipe for quick baking chocolate chip pumpkin bread is universally pleasing. It has a mellow, savory flavor with touches of semi-sweet chocolate. Perfect with a cup of hot coffee or even a cold glass of milk.
This is a treat that you eat slowly. It’s so good that you’ll never want your slice to end.
Additionally, this bread bakes ups fluffy and soft, extremely moist on the inside. It can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days. Furthermore, reheating is easy by placing in the microwave for 20 seconds.
Quick baking dough without the need for rising
The great thing about this pumpkiny dessert is that there is no need for rising. Even though it is considered a “bread”, it does not use yeast. If you’re looking for a comparative recipe, consider this chocolate chip pumpkin bread very similar to a banana nut loaf. Most of the work is done in the mixing.
As an additional note, it’s best to bake this bread the same day that you created the mixture. If you decide to let the batter sit overnight in the fridge, the bread may not rise to its full, fluffy potential. The baking soda runs out of effectiveness if it’s kept waiting too long.

Let it cool before slicing
The hardest part of making this recipe is being patient enough to let it cool. I place a freshly baked loaf on top of my oven and it sits for 20 minutes.
Simple baskets hold the recipe together
Once cooled, this chocolate chip pumpkin bread is sliced evenly and placed into simple baskets. To capture the essence of fall, I’ve added decorative note cards and season inspired flare. There’s a large Tupperware hidden inside and it’s full of the delicious pumpkin bread.
Since most of my neighbors are busy during the day, we plan on delivering them in the cool of the evening. That way our friends can open up their baskets and enjoy right after dinner.
Now, I have a sweet surprise just for you!
